Stafford and Cannock League of Hospital Friends are recruiting Volunteers to operate the service to patients who cannot get to the League’s popular Café.

 

Senior Operational Therapy Assistants, Amanda Evans and Jenny Walker welcomed the service onto their ward exclaiming “this is a great idea”!

On the first day of operation the trolley visited all departments around the hospital and the League’s Volunteer Coordinator Christine Foster said, “the first day of operation has been well received throughout”.

 

Initially the service will operate on Tuesday’s and Friday’s, but it is hoped to expand this to a daily service once more volunteers are recruited.

 

Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer should visit volunteering or pick up an application form from the Meet & Greet hub located near the second-floor entrance of Cannock hospital.
