Charity Gives a Donation to The Phlebotomy Department at Cannock Chase Hospital
On Friday 12th September 2024 Val Jones, Chair of Stafford & Cannock League of Hospital Friends presented a Vein Finder to the Phlebotomy Department at Cannock Chase Hospital.
The use of a vein finder helps the phlebotomist to easily locate the vein, preventing possible pre-analytical error in the specimen collection and even more discomfort and pain to the patient.
Julie Jowicz, Team Leader of the Phlebotomy Department and her team were delighted to receive the donation.
The League of Friends continue to fundraise with various fundraising activities including bucket collections and market stalls.
